There are lots of important things going on in the world right now, and believe me, this is not one of them. But, it might be fun.
It occurred to me as I was putting away dishtowels that 2Chili folded that we will just never agree on how to fold a towel (dish, bath, or otherwise). Now, I am pretty happy that he was even folding towels, but I wondered, is there a right way and a wrong way to fold towels? As much as I quietly hint (and sometimes re-fold), it seems he has his way and I have mine.
I guess we all know that, obviously, a folded towel of any sort is fine (it beats a big heap of unfolded towels, of course), but is there a general preference among the people on how towels should be folded?
So, with that, I present you with a towel poll. Not a straw poll, telephone pole, or a Festivus pole, but a towel poll. If more than two people actually answer this, I’ll share the results with you next week. (By two people, I mean, my mother and 2Chili’s mother, who will naturally pick the towel type favored by their offspring, because how else would one learn to fold a towel?! That would likely result in a stalemate, of course.)
This will be a blind poll in that I’m not telling you who folded which towel. Please consider how you would fold a towel to store it in a drawer when voting. Thank you in advance for your vote. Much like they say around election time for important stuff, your vote really does count!

So, I would fold it the first way to put it in a drawer, but the second way to hang it on a rack… I can’t vote in the poll because both are right in some way!

Angela, Of course the first way is the only way to fold for in a drawer – this is a hand me down method from grandma and I am sure your mother and her mother and so on. However – the second way is the way to fold if you are displaying or hanging. So both are right in some way but the first way is right for storing!!
Ha, well, I won’t comment further here to not give away the folding style I prefer. But I do have a comment for this once I release the poll results – they are very interesting!!
