Menu for the week in progress:
- Monday: Chili from the weekend
- Tuesday: Bean and Cheese Enchiladas
- Wednesday: Leftovers from Tuesday

- Friday: Pizza (to fuel for Saturday’s long run)
- Saturday: Pasta of some sort (to fuel for Sunday’s long bike ride)
- Sunday: Panini sandwiches and potatoes
Observations:
- Since this was a CSA week, I had a much more restrictive budget with which to work over a normal week. Luckily we are pretty well stocked up from last week and didn’t need a lot!
- 2Chili has informed me he does not like the Trader Joe’s orange juice, so we’re back to his normal Tropicana from Amazon Fresh. I am not a juice drinker, so, I was just looking at it from a cost perspective. Apparently the TJ juice is just not great.
- I find myself thinking more about what we need and making lists, instead of just willy nilly adding things to my shopping order on a whim. That’s a good thing!
- I now have a lot of greens on hand, thanks to our produce box. I’m thinking of making this soup from Gena over at Choosing Raw as a way to use them in a productive way…

time goes by quickly, doesn’t it!
the hubster is very particular about his OJ too. there must be something in the tropicana…
i look forward to seeing what you do with those greens!
I am so glad you started this challenge! It has been really great so far.
Yeah, apparently the TJ’s is from concentrate, which maybe makes it a little more bland? Not sure, but he is happy this week to have the real stuff!
Under budget, Yay! I’m super particular about orange juice, too. Most of it is just nasty but I do like Tropicana (with lots of pulp). The concentrate kinds are so bitter to me. Almost hard to swallow
