Hi Yvonne,

Thanks for stopping by and the note. You're right, it was one day late, sorry, but I did enjoy learning what you would make! :)

I hope you get a new blender soon!

Congrats on finding/following your niche! I might be a day too late for the contest (I thought I saw 6/16 on another post?) but just in case... I'd make a gluten-free vegan pancake mix. My blender broke last week and I miss my pancakes!

Melissa, I had to read part of your comment to my husband, who is very simpatico with your husband. We have a running joke that when he leaves the house, I break out the blender. Ha!

I am so happy to hear you are getting good use out of the recipes and are enjoying making healthy foods for your family. Thank you so much for your nice comment and suggestions! I don't have the full KS yet (it came out after I got my Ninja Professional Blender), but the smaller jar of the Pulse is very similar in size to the smaller 40 oz jar for the KS and has similar accessories, so I will keep that in mind when writing recipes and think about things that are more food-processor material than full on blending.

Thanks again and keep on keeping on!

I have to admit I found your site only recently when I searched for Ninja reviews. I sat and read almost all of your recipes and went out and bought the Ninja KS 1200 because of you. It was the DIY Larabars recipe that got me. I have somewhat an addiction to the peanut butter cookie bars and when I saw yours I knew I had to have one. Everyday I make something new from your recipes, my husband walks in the house and says "I knew you'd be blending something!" I love that you do healthy versions of everyday foods. Since I have the smaller bowl that comes with the blender it tworks as a food processor-I'd love to know more about it and have some recipes (used it to mix ground turkey, feta & mushrooms for awesome burgers). As for why I want a Ninja pulse- I'm trying to eat healthier and get my husband to also. We both love smoothies and I think if we had one I could get him to make a healthy breakfast (or meal) on the go, instead of stopping at the local fast food joint. Congrats on your blog, thank you for giving me a reason to do something good for my family and making it so much fun!

Hi Brook,

First of all, thank you for stepping out of your zone and leaving a comment. I cannot tell you enough how much your words totally made my day! And from a fellow triathlete, well, that is even better! :)

Secondly, good on you for making positive and healthy changes in your life. When I started changing the way we eat, it was definitely information overload for a while, but then, almost overnight, everything just sort of "clicked" and making the right choices became second nature. You have a great opportunity to teach your kids to eat right from the start, and that is pretty powerful stuff!

Thank you for reading, commenting, and for your positive vibe!

Angela,
(I am so not a commenter on blogs, feels strange!)
I just bought a Ninja blender and I was so excited to look at the cookbook it came with it! Yeah, it took one look to realize that those recipes would not fly in my mission to understand food and my relationship to food. I am working on losing weight, but more importantly working on changing how I view food; getting rid of emotional, social eating and really loving some new awesome foods that are not addicting. Anywho, I found you blog and stayed up most the night reading it (don't tell my husband, he thinks I am tired because the baby woke up :) So, I just wanted to say, I love you! In the uncreepiest, power to you, you rock, sorta way! Your recipes look amazing and I can't wait to try them, but I was also so impressed with who you are and your confidence! My husband and I do triathlons (as much as you can with four little kids:) and I really love ALL your stuff! So thanks!! Congrats on 500,000! BTW, I am still working on the courage to try anything in my Ninja, so I am not sure what I would do with a Pulse. I was really just commenting to say....you go girl. I am right behind ya!

Oh, Debbie T, thank you! I definitely think we connected through Project: Food Budget, but I don't know if that was really how we found each other! Thank you for your continued support and encouragement and for just being so much fun! Also, I want to tell you, I've been trying out Food to Table and it is super cool so far, thanks for the tip!
